A cheap, simple gadget that greatly improves travelling by air
The free headsets dolled out for use on aeroplane journeys are usually not very good – letting lots of outside noise distract you whilst also not providing clear audio for any TV or films you are watching (without even getting into the question of music quality for aficionados).
However, as I’ve just discovered there are simple adaptors available which let you use your own headphones in the special sockets used on aeroplanes.
Here’s the one I’ve recently been using:
Cheap and very useful. Odd then that they are (in my experience at least) usually hidden well away in the shops at airports and rarely mentioned in lists of travel tips. So if your experience has been similar to my own past ignorance, hopefully this tip will come in useful for you sometime soon.
