Shift in public opinion in favour of immigration continues

The past five years have seen a big shift towards a more liberal attitude towards immigration in the UK:
Polling data on UK attitudes towards immigration

The trend in this evidence matches other data asking about immigration in different ways, such as shift found by the British Election Study in views on the numbers of immigration and the Ipsos-MORI data on people’s views of the impact of immigration.

One response to “Shift in public opinion in favour of immigration continues”

  1. Immigrants rapidly integrate in the general community, particularly in large diverse populations like London.

What does divide, and will continue to divide, is religion and social class. To prevent discord on religious & class lines, I think it is very necessary for everyone to tolerate people different from themself. This toleration has to be backed up by legislation and financial help.
