First poll of the new political era has Labour third, Brexit Party fourth
With both the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats now with new leaders, the two parties are also in first and second in the latest opinion poll:
The fading of the Brexit Party, as seen across multiple pollsters, continues. Intriguingly, this may not benefit the Conservatives much if they lose Conservative Remainers to the Lib Dems.
This is only one poll, but the trend matches the picture across others.
This is no surprise – with BoJo as PM the “true believers” of Leave can reside with the Conservatives with the same true believers on the other side comfortable with the LibDems … the real losers are Brexit (likely to squeeze to become a 6 percent wonder) and Labour who have been rightfully punished for their arrogant “we can be all things to all people” track record over and above their “nasty racially compromised” party tag.
