Independent wins this week’s one council by-election

Only one council by-election this week after last week’s recommencement of elections. Again it was in a remote ward, this time off the west coast of Scotland, in the Western Isles:

  1. Puppies very welcome. Had to dispose of a dead cat once on polling day.
    I can see this would work in Australia with compulsory voting but here it could encourage bribery (here, have a hotdog).
