Embarrassment for Cameron over invalid donations

David Cameron’s constituency party has admitted receiving £7,000 in donations that, er…, it wasn’t allowed to receive. The problem was that they came from two people who were not on the electoral register and so didn’t meet the basic qualification for legal political donations.

The money has now been forfeited.
