Best known for his comedy sitcom Cabin Pressure, John Finnemore has also created a brilliant series of comedy sketches for his Souvenir Programme radio series.
What I love about the sketches is the clever way so many take something that is commonplace and rarely thought about and turns it into a quirky scene which produces many laughs.
One of the best examples in the first season is the fairy tale about the three little pigs. Why would a pig build a house out of straw rather than bricks? And why would the pig then expect it to stand up to a wolf? In the hands of John Finnemore those questions get asked and laughs result as he then answers them.
Great fun (fun that continues in later series too, particular where boats are involved).
